A couple of weekends ago I made a trip to IKEA's textile department at Homebush. Did you know they sell fabric? I got these two pieces above for making some cushions (yes, I've started them) and i'm going to re-colour the living room soon. You know, i'd walked past it so many times and not seen it (the sizable fabric stash at IKEA that is). Below are a few more (but not all) of their fabric range. Most are 100% cotton from what I saw, and they are sold by the metre. I purchased some home decor weight cotton for my pillows.
And do darn cheap!! They range from $4 to $15 per metre. I couldn't find anything more expensive than that. So this is a great option for decorating and sewing that you may like to consider if you have an IKEA in your area.
